LFW DAY 1: PPQ

I finished off day 1 of London Fashion Week attending the show for PPQ (Pretty Personal Question), a label run by my friends Amy Molyneaux & Percy Parker. Their shows always attract a large crowd and this season was particularly special as it saw the label celebrating its ten year anniversary. The looks fused influences ranging from 90s LA prep through Brooklyn hip hop honey via some sassy Zorro-inspired outfits. Pink-haired American model Charlotte Free lent an extra added dose of attitude to the varied collection and the overall response was positive.

The after party, held at the Mayfair Hotel, was a lot of fun. Below is a photo I took at the show and one of me with model Charlotte De Clare at the after party.

Three New Drake Tracks!

After making some hints on Twitter Drake released three new tracks on Saturday for fans to download. Club Paradise, a somber paranoia-tinged rap rant named after a strip club in Toronto, Free Spirit featuring Rick Ross, where Drizzy raps "tat my fuckin name on you so I know it's real, I know it hurts, but I ain't tryna hear it, cause when I'm not around, I still be there in spirit" and a remix of Wacka Flocka's Round of Applause.

It's still unknown what's going to make the final cut for Drake's much anticipated upcoming LP, Take Care, due for release on October 24th, but Drake has said that it could contain up to 18 songs and that apparently Stevie Wonder was involved in the creative direction as well as featuring. Check out the new tracks below:

Vivienne Westwood for Vogue Fashion's Night Out London

Last night I DJ'd alongside Peaches Geldof & Leah Weller at Vivienne Westwood London for Vogue Fashion's Night Out before heading to Sketch to DJ in the Parlor for a VFNO after party and some sweaty fun with designers Amy Molyneaux and Matthew Williamson. I'm absolutely exhausted, but it certainly was a fun night. Cheers to Laurence Blake for DJing with me at Sketch, and I'd like to give an extra big shout out to Leah for her DJ debut, not only did she look stunning but she played an amazing set all on her own! You go girl. Look out for her in the new Uniqlo campaign with Jamie Campbell!

Here are a few photos from last night; me, Leah & Peaches all wearing Vivienne Westwood (more to come):

Rihanna for Armani

Rihanna replaces Megan Fox as the new face of Armani Jeans and Armani Underwear. Armani just released this first shot from the campaign, shot in New York by Steven Klein and inspired by classic film noir, via their Facebook page with the announcement of more to come!

Subverting the stereotype of the femme fatale, an iconic staple of film noir, Rihanna wears a blonde wig that's been cut short and a shaggy sweater, giving her a more androgynous and striking look. Personally I think it works wonderfully and reveals a different side to her that's less overtly sexual and more mature. Thumbs up.

Wyld Wednesday Returns - 07/09/11

Last night saw the return of our weekly residency in the Wyld Bar at the W Hotel London and boy did we have fun! Thanks to everyone that came down, and especially those of you that dressed up or went extra wild. A big shout out too to DJs Lewis Griffith and Miguel Dare for DJing with me, and Maia Norman (wife of millionaire artist Damien Hirst) for screaming "fuck it up!" in my ear until I played Lil Wayne.

We're back next week, and as ever it's guestlist only but you can always RSVP to contact@erolsabadosh.com by 5pm on the day.

Here are some photos I managed to take last night between hysterical bouts of laughter and excessive dancing:

Cheap Monday in association with Selfridges

Yesterday evening Relative MO hosted a party in the reception of the Mother Building in Shoreditch to celebrate the opening of the new Cheap Monday store at Selfridges.

The converted warehouse space was dressed like an actual working warehouse, celebrating all things lo-fi and dominated by raw, basic materials such as broken particle boards and old building materials. Tote goody bags with t-shirts and other paraphernalia were handed out while guests enjoyed the free bar all evening serving Ciroq, Mahiki Rum and Gaymers Cider. Hot dogs were available but the predominantly younger fashion conscious crowd abstained from eating, most likely watching their diet for fashion week just around the corner, instead sipping drinks from the unlimited bar, taking photos in the photo booth and enjoying the performances and DJ sets from INTL, Is Tropical, Marie Clare and Wade Crescent.

Here are some photos of me and friends in attendance, including models Anthony 'BB' Kaye, Charlotte De Carle and Suki Waterhouse. Celebrated British designer James Long, whose party I'm organising for London Fashion Week, was also in attendance, as was Bip Ling, the new face of Forever 21.
