Adidas Press Day

I popped into the Adidas press office today for their press day and took some photos, I love some of the SS12 Y-3 collection and I had a look at the Jeremy Scott and Stella McCartney. Here are a few pieces I thought were nice or interesting (I really want that hooded mesh vest!):

James Long SS12 Official After Show Party

I was proud to host and DJ the official after show party for James Long this season in the Wyld Bar at the W Hotel London. I organized the party with the blessing of James and his PR team at Relative MO and all in all it was a great success; the perfect way to end London Fashion Week! I picked 7th Man Magazine to be the media partner as they had recently done a feature on me and I thought it would be a perfect tie-in as they had shot James' clothes before and they're probably the most respected London-based high-end fashion magazine specializing in menswear. James and co. partied at Wyld until the place was shut down, the unlimited bar courtesy of Grey Goose & Bacardi Oakheart keeping everyone in the mood! Laurencematthew (signed to Deadly People under the name Citizen) came and DJ'd with me. 7th Man's editorial team mingled with James and his interns, Facehunter took photos of Wyld's huge disco ball, Daniel Lismore provided visual spectacle in the form of his elaborate outfit, male models aplenty were spotted and our friend and actor Nathan Stewart Jarrett attended with fellow actress Valene Kane. Fabulous!

LFW Day 5: Menswear

I kicked off menswear day at the Relative MO headquarters, picking out James Long pieces to wear for the show and later that night for the after party at the W (which I had organized). Here is a photo of me trying on a grey knit with my Damir Doma trousers & boots.

I loved the James Long show, the whole exotic desert vibe was really cool, for me it conjured up retro images of the American West Coast, desert road trips in classic convertibles and sun-kissed San Francisco days. The patchwork biker jacket made up of contrasting fabrics was really cool, and the styling and music (by Hanna Hanra) really brought everything together nicely. Thumbs up! Next up I attended the KTZ (Kokon To Zai) show also at Somerset House, which I was really impressed by. Mixing African tribal influences with punk rock via S&M it was full of detail and attitude. The soundtrack was superb, starting and ending with It Began In Afrika by The Chemical Brothers and incorporating various other tribal electro tracks as well as Beyoncé's Run The World. After the KTZ show I headed over to see Nickque walk for Oliver Spencer and then onto Vauxhall Fashion Scout for the T. Lipop show for which I did the soundtrack. I mixed Phenomenon by LL Cool J with tracks by Pretty Lights and the Don Diablo/Missy Elliott mash-up Workin' Out Is Overrated. The show itself was brilliant, mixing Native American tribal influences with African prints (created by my good friend Cyril Crentsil) and fantastic casting and styling choices that came together to create a look I can only describe as Amish rock chic. Later that night I hosted and DJ'd the official James Long after show party (which I also organized) in conjunction with 7th Man Magazine and in collaboration with Relative MO which was amazing, and which I'll post about later. All in all it was a very exhausting but amazing day!

LFW Day 2: Vivienne Westwood

Following the Lako Bukia show at VFS, I dashed over to the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show produced by My Beautiful Fashion at Smithfield Market in Farringdon. It was a solid collection, the music by JBAG was appropriate as always and the show attracted a healthy dose of star power as expected; I spotted the likes of Kelis, Pamela Anderson and Tracy Emin in attendance. Some of the hair pieces reminded me of Jodie Harsh's signature Charlie Le Mindu wig and to be honest I probably spent more time inspecting the sculpted hair creations than the clothes. LFW Day 2: Lako Bukia

I kicked off the second day of LFW with the Lako Bukia SS12 show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout for which I did the soundtrack. I created an original bespoke remix of Arcade Fire's The Suburbs (Continued) which I mixed in with Nicolas Jaar's exquisite remix of Azari & III and Caribou's remix of Radiohead. For the finale I chose the upbeat synth-pop sound of Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) by Arcade Fire to contrast with the minimal soundtrack of the main show.

Lako's delicate and beautiful collection mixed Asian-influenced style and prints with a contemporary minimal design to flattering and striking effect, the flowing chiffon dresses were complimented by structured uniform pieces that retained a soft element in their boldness with a red, black and white color palette. Gorgeous.

Christian Lacroix Homme SS12, Soundtrack by Erol Sabadosh

Last week Christian Lacroix showed their debut menswear collection for SS12, under its new creative director Sacha Walckhoff, at the location of their brand new store under construction in Paris. Check out a video of the show below. I did the official soundtrack for the catwalk, including an original remix of Psycho Killer by Talking Heads and you can stream the soundtrack below the YouTube video and there's also a photo of me wearing my favorite leather jacket from the collection!
