See the trailer for Lana Del Rey's Tropico

On December 5th Lana Del Rey will be releasing a 30 minute film to Vevo entitled Tropico. Directed by Anthony Mandler who previously worked with Del Rey on the National Anthem and Ride videos, Tropico sees the singer playing Eve in a modern Biblical story of Adam & Eve featuring male model Shaun Ross and plenty of sinister imagery suggesting this may be the darkest video the melancholy songstress has ever released. Not long to wait now!

Diamonds - Rihanna (Erol Sabadosh Remix)

Thanks to everyone who's been sharing my latest remix, it's now got over 200,000 views on YouTube! Here are what some of the blogs have been saying, and in case you missed it here are some links to the YouTube upload and the download on Soundcloud.

"With a dash of synth sparkle and an alluring moombahton gallop underlining, his “nu disco” makeover proves that sometimes a subtle tweak is all that’s needed to bring about the best remixes." - Mixtape Maestro

"We’re quite partial to an Erol Sabadosh remix and this one is Nu Discotastic!! This remix adds a twist of joy to the original that you should be getting your audio fix of." - Your Music Radar

"The track sounds like a deep house take on moombahton with Rihanna’s vocals over the top. Its sexy and cool but still danceable." - Surviving The Golden Age

Death Grips

Death Grips are an experimental hip hop group hailing from Sacramento, California, consisting of vocalist Stefan Burnett and production duo Andy Morin and Hella/Marnie Stern drummer Zach Hill. Having released a free mixtape last year titled Exmilitary, which is available on their website, they are now gearing up to release two albums this year, the first titled The Money Store is scheduled for release on the 24th of April through Epic Records, with the second, No Love, due later in the year. Check out these two tracks from The Money Store, which is now definitely one of my most anticipated releases at the moment:

T. Lipop AW12

As with last season I once again did show music for T. Lipop, remixing a bit of Lil Wayne, editing some Jay-Z/Kanye action and splicing together bits of Matthew Dear and Shabazz Palaces with my favorite track from the new Sleigh Bells album for the finale. Tom's AW12 collection was simply fantastic, featuring some particularly nice blazers, shirts and jackets. Check out a front row video and some backstage photos:

Gorillaz at the 100 Club with De La Soul

Last night Converse celebrated their collaboration with Gorillaz, who designed a new pair of Chuck Taylors, by hosting a private gig at the 100 Club in London for competition winners and select guests. I was lucky enough to attend thanks to my publicity team at Notice (thanks!) and got to witness a pretty cool show from Gorillaz Soundsystem, a Gorillaz-endorsed audio-visual experience that includes music, live percussion, and projected visuals. The icing on the cake came when Damon Albarn sauntered onto stage with De La Soul to perform Feel Good Inc. which I managed to video! You can watch it below and see some photos I took too:

Shabazz Palaces

I went to see Shabazz Palaces live at the Jazz Cafe in London two nights ago and boy oh boy was it an amazing show! Support came from the brilliant Seattle MC duo of Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White aka THEESatisfaction who also joined Shabazz Palaces on stage toward the end of their set. In case you're not familiar with Shabazz Palaces yet they are a hip hop collective fronted by Ishmael Butler, previously of seminal hip hop group Digable Planets, and multi-instrumentalist Tendai Maraire. Their debut album Black Up just dropped on Sub Pop and I can't say enough good things about them. Please do listen to Black Up and spread the Shabazz love. Check out some photos and a video I took at the Jazz Cafe gig plus listen to one of their EP tracks as well:

Video Games - Lana Del Rey (Erol Sabadosh Remix)

When I first heard Video Games by Lana Del Rey I thought it was a beautiful slice of melancholy pop, just the kind of dreamy yet melodic sound I'm into, so I thought I'd give it a little twist of my own and push it in a more epic dubstep-cum-shoegaze (dubgaze?) direction. You can stream or download my remix (for free) via Soundcloud below, and watch the official video for the original track:
