Roxx Club
Did anyone else used to frequent the indie clubs in Central London around the time of Panic/Afterskool/Frog/Moonlighting? Well, think of Roxx as a slightly more grown-up version in terms of presentation. The drinks aren't going to break your bank (although it's a far cry from Moonlighting's £1.50 spirit mixers back in the day - oh nostalgia) and the service and staff are both exceptional, whether you have a table or you're just hanging out at the bar, plus it's free entry before 10:30pm. I DJ'd there on the 29th of November and took some photos which you can check out below.

Open Lab x LFW x Apartment 58
Tuesday night marked the end of another London Fashion Week and saw me DJing at Apartment 58's brand new central London location on New Oxford Street for a special event with Open Lab Magazine. A secret live performance from the incredibly talented King Charles and his band took place while guests enjoyed drinks provided by Silver Rocks and Dash Concept. I had a great time on the decks and if you pick up the latest issue of the magazine you can read a tell-all interview with myself as well as fashion icon Diane Pernet, design team Sibling and check out the cover feature with Ashley Stymest. Order a copy HERE!

Diamonds - Rihanna (Erol Sabadosh Remix)
Thanks to everyone who's been sharing my latest remix, it's now got over 200,000 views on YouTube! Here are what some of the blogs have been saying, and in case you missed it here are some links to the YouTube upload and the download on Soundcloud.
"With a dash of synth sparkle and an alluring moombahton gallop underlining, his “nu disco” makeover proves that sometimes a subtle tweak is all that’s needed to bring about the best remixes." - Mixtape Maestro
"We’re quite partial to an Erol Sabadosh remix and this one is Nu Discotastic!! This remix adds a twist of joy to the original that you should be getting your audio fix of." - Your Music Radar
"The track sounds like a deep house take on moombahton with Rihanna’s vocals over the top. Its sexy and cool but still danceable." - Surviving The Golden Age

Angels - The XX (Erol Sabadosh Remix)
"Erol Sabadosh handles The XX like so many have done so before him, and transforms their Original into a radio friendly & club floor drum-honey. It’s good floating in the arms of synthy angels." - Aerial Noise
"Erol mixes a nice live drum sound with some glockenspiel and bouncing synths to create a very atmospheric remix." - Surviving the Golden Age

FACE @ W Hotel London
Last Wednesday we moved our new party FACE from the now defunct Kitts Club to the Wyld Bar at the W Hotel London for a one-off evening of creativity and fun featuring a live PA with the hotly tipped Kase Prince who blew us away with five new tracks of upbeat club-ready hip hop/electro, a nail salon by the fabulously talented girls at Nail Porn, tunes from myself, DJ Lukey, DJ BB (Lewis Griffith) and Sean Alto, plus support from Stooki Society. Here are some of the lovely people who came down to mingle snapped by Shama Anwar:

Mashina O
Check out my brand new original track titled Mashina O which is available for free streaming and download on Soundcloud...
Inspired by Laibach’s B Mashina, Mashina O is an ode to the ground-breaking Omladinski Program Radio Sarajevo (1987 – 1992). Turning communism on its head by promoting alternative lifestyle values as well as music, subsequently becoming among the strongest movement for peace when Yugoslavia collapsed, I'm helping celebrate its 25th anniversary and legacy by DJing in-store at Rough Trade East in London on the 15th of this month.
The First To Know Gathering @ Rough Trade East (www.roughtrade.com), 15 May, 7pm. Q&A with 'Hoxtonite' trend-setter author Lida Hujic (www.thefirsttoknow.info), win original collector items from the Sarajevo Olympics 1984 and a live DJ set from Erol Sabadosh with a very special playlist. Thinking About You - Frank Ocean (Erol Sabadosh Remix)
Thinking About You - Frank Ocean (Erol Sabadosh Remix) from Erol Sabadosh on Vimeo.
"What do you get if you mix Frank Ocean on track duty and the incredible Erol Sabadosh on remix duty? A fucking awesome track for the summer thats what!" - Totally Twitterpated
"Helping re-spark our desire to hear “Thinking About You” at least five times a day everyday is this new remix by ace London-based DJ/ producer Erol Sabadosh, who perks up the ballad with a sprightly electro-pop/ house spritz." - Mixtape Maestro
"To the same degree as a late March open breeze, Erol Sabadosh passes us this exceedingly high-end John Legend & Kanye West vocal-doppelgänger, occupied by soulful intent and noteworthy prosperity of the electronic sound. Flawless for radio plays and suitable for beginning ones DJ set with, Erol Sabadosh continues on the lavishness." - Aerial Noise
"Ocean’s smooth vocals sound great over Sabadosh’ driving production." - Surviving the Golden Age
"Erol Sabadosh has taken one of our favourite FAVOURITE tracks by Mr Frank Ocean and given it a wonderful tweak and edit of joy to magic up a wondrous delight of a remix." - Your Music Radar
Ocean‘s easily recognized vocals meet progessive / R & B sounding synths, while flowing over a housey driving beat and fuse together for an infectious dance pop experience. - The Get Downnn

LORE
I've just unleashed my new music project online and I'd like to share a post on my blog introducing everyone to what I'm doing. Basically, I will be releasing solo material under the name LORE. All music will be written, performed and produced by myself and released independent of any label or other entity. LORE will be an exploration of myth, a simultaneous celebration, subversion and re-appropriation of tradition, genre and expectation. In other words I will be ripping off so many different sources at once in the hopes that the result might sound fresh to exhausted ears. Seriously though, in a climate of lies, desperate economy and constant pandering I just want to make something truthful and honest without worrying what people will think. I'm sitting on about four years of unreleased material that I am now going to start trickling online, and here is the first taste in the form of a no-budget music video made by myself and friends that you can watch on Youtube and an MP3 that you can stream and download for free from Soundcloud, with more to come very soon:
