LFW Day 3: Unconditional SS12

On the third day of LFW I attended my new friend Philip Stephens' show for his label Unconditional. I'm going to spread some love here and post a few photos I took at the show of my favorite looks. My promoter friend from NYC, the amazing Ladyfag, walked in the show as well and below is also a photo of us immediately afterwards. You can visit Unconditional online HERE or check out the London store in Covent Garden!

LFW Day 2: Adidas/Exit Magazine Party & Belle Sauvage

After attending the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show I DJ'd at the Adidas/Exit Magazine party at the Old Sorting Office alongside friends Romy XX, Lauren Flax (Creep) & Nova Dando. The party was huge, attracting a massive crowd, and I had a great time spinning for the crowd. Below are some photos of me behind the decks, as well as a shot of the queue snaking around the block!

After my DJ set at the Adidas/Exit party I DJ'd at the after show party I organized for design house Belle Sauvage at Bungalow 8. It was an incredibly fun party that went on very late, due in part to the free drinks courtesy of Havana Club. You can see photos from the event taken by photographer Billa HERE. Special thanks to DJs Laurencematthew, Fonteyn & Gemma Winter for DJing alongside me. Suffice to say by the end of the second day of LFW I was already supremely exhausted!

LFW Day 2: Vivienne Westwood

Following the Lako Bukia show at VFS, I dashed over to the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show produced by My Beautiful Fashion at Smithfield Market in Farringdon. It was a solid collection, the music by JBAG was appropriate as always and the show attracted a healthy dose of star power as expected; I spotted the likes of Kelis, Pamela Anderson and Tracy Emin in attendance. Some of the hair pieces reminded me of Jodie Harsh's signature Charlie Le Mindu wig and to be honest I probably spent more time inspecting the sculpted hair creations than the clothes. Here are a few photos I took at the show:

LFW Day 2: Lako Bukia

I kicked off the second day of LFW with the Lako Bukia SS12 show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout for which I did the soundtrack. I created an original bespoke remix of Arcade Fire's The Suburbs (Continued) which I mixed in with Nicolas Jaar's exquisite remix of Azari & III and Caribou's remix of Radiohead. For the finale I chose the upbeat synth-pop sound of Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) by Arcade Fire to contrast with the minimal soundtrack of the main show.

Lako's delicate and beautiful collection mixed Asian-influenced style and prints with a contemporary minimal design to flattering and striking effect, the flowing chiffon dresses were complimented by structured uniform pieces that retained a soft element in their boldness with a red, black and white color palette. Gorgeous.

Below is a photo I took backstage, the full video of the show and a link to stream just my soundtrack featuring my original remix of Arcade Fire as well as a link to download.

LFW DAY 1: PPQ

I finished off day 1 of London Fashion Week attending the show for PPQ (Pretty Personal Question), a label run by my friends Amy Molyneaux & Percy Parker. Their shows always attract a large crowd and this season was particularly special as it saw the label celebrating its ten year anniversary. The looks fused influences ranging from 90s LA prep through Brooklyn hip hop honey via some sassy Zorro-inspired outfits. Pink-haired American model Charlotte Free lent an extra added dose of attitude to the varied collection and the overall response was positive.

The after party, held at the Mayfair Hotel, was a lot of fun. Below is a photo I took at the show and one of me with model Charlotte De Clare at the after party.
